The Wada at Menawali is a well-maintained mansion in the very medieval Maratha Wada style in the Wai area. The Minister (Satara) rewarded this part west of Wai in 1768.There, Nana built the beautiful village of Menavali and built a magnificent four-sided east-facing fort on the banks of the river Krishna in 1770. There is a strong stone wall around it.On the inside there is a fountain in front of an open sopya and on the inside right side there is a big well built in beautiful circular chiseled stones.
